Governors

We have a team of seven people currently on our Board of Trustees/Governors. The full Board of Governors meet half- termly to discuss progress, make strategic decisions, oversee safeguarding and to hold the management team to account. The Headteacher and Chief Executive Officer attend full board meetings. The Governors are also responsible each year for auditing the salaries of senior staff. this includes the Headteacher and Chief Executive Officer. Various sub-committee meetings meet throughout the year to undertake reviews for the area for which they are responsible. 

The dates of forth coming full Board of Governors meetings for 2020-2021 are :

28th November, 23rd January, 14th March, End of April TBC and 3rd July.

All the below governors terms of service started April 2015 when the Board of Governors formed as the School became registered with the DfE. Luke Lucas joined in May 2019. Terms of Service are reviewed every five years.

Barry Austin - Chair

Barry has been a Trustee since 2010, he has been the Chair of Governors since September 2019. He is also on the Financial and Legal Sub-committee and the Health and Safety Sub-committee.

Declaration of Interests-Barry is also a Trustee for the following companies- Neema Crafts UK, St Andrews Church PCC and Chapel House Ministries.

Helen Attree – Vice-chairperson

Helen has been the Chair person at the Bridge since 2007 -2019, since then she is Vice-Chair. Helen is also the lead Governor for Safeguarding and on the Safeguarding  and Education Sub-committees. She also helps with fundraising for the Bridge and has a stall at the Hanley Swan Market once a month.

Declaration of Interests-Helen is also the Chair person of Malvern Special Families and member of St Andrews Church PCC.

Debbie Austin

Debbie has been on the Board of Governors since 2010. She is on the Education and HR Sub-Committees. Debbie is available for staff pastoral support if needed.

Declaration of Interests- Debbie is also a Trustee of the following companies- Neema Crafts UK and Chapel House Ministries.

Angela Farmer

Angela joined the Board of Governors in 2007. Angela's role is business and finance advice.

Declaration of Interests-Angela is also a Trustee of Bless Community Church.

Julia Wolff

Julia joined the Board of Governors in 2015. Julia is on the Health and Safety Sub-committee and the Finance and Legal Sub-committee.

Judith Keene

Judith joined the Board of Governors in 2015. Judith is on the Education Sub-committee and HR Sub-committees.

Luke Lucas 

Luke joined the Board of Governors in 2019. He is on the Finance and Legal Sub-Committee and the Health and Safety Sub-committee.  

All Governors hold an Enhanced DBS check and have completed induction training and safeguarding training.
