Governors
​
We have a team of five governors currently on our Board of Trustees/Governors. The full Board of Governors meet half- termly to discuss progress, make strategic decisions, oversee safeguarding and to hold the management team to account. The Headteacher and Chief Executive Officer attend the full Board meetings. The Governors are also responsible each year for auditing the salaries of senior staff, this includes the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and Chief Executive Officer.

The Governors abide by the Instrument of Government.
Various sub-committee meetings meet throughout the year to undertake reviews for the area for which they are responsible.

Terms of Office are reviewed every four years.
Sarah Slater– Chairperson
Sarah joined the Board of Governors in 2023 and became chair in November 2024. She is on the Finance sub-committee, Education Sub-committee and is the led governor for pupil premium and Alternative Provision. Sarah is a retired teacher, with previous experience as Head of Maths and Middle Management.

​Geoff Vevers- Vice Chair
Geoff joined the Board of Governors in 2021. Geoff is the lead governor for HR Sub-committee.

Helen Attree
Helen was previously Chair of governors 2007-2018, 2021-2024. Helen is the lead governor for Children Looked After, SEN. She leds the Safeguarding Sub-committee and is on the Education Sub-committee.
Declaration of Interests-Helen is employed by St Andrews Church PCC.

Julie Taylor
Julie joined the Board of Governors in 2023. She is on the Safeguarding Sub-committee. Julie is Head of School of Nursing at Midwifery and Professor of Child Protection at Birmingham University.
Declaration of Interest- Member of Royal College of Nursing and European Academy of Nursing Science.

Clare Gabriel
Clare joined the Board of Governors in 2024. She is on the Health and Safety Sub-committee. Clare has a career working in health and safety, as a consultant, auditor and trainer.
Declaration of Interest: Director of Angel Risk Limited, audit committee member for the British Horse Society. Director of Equisafety Ltd.

Graham Quint
Graham joined the Board Board of Governors in November 2024. He has experience of working in education settings, in IT, business and finance.
Declaration of Interest: Owner of Quintq Ltd, currently dormant IT consultancy business.

All Governors hold an Enhanced DBS check and have completed induction training and safeguarding training.
