Employer stories

Work Experience is an integral part of our course at Sixth Form. It is an important aspect of preparing young people for employment, building aspirations and confidence. We have a dedicated Careers and Work experience team who have created links with a vast array of employers across Worcestershire. We carefully match our students' interests and skills with employers to give them the best chance of adding value during their experience and making it a successful placement.
We are lucky to work with some fantastic local employers who have hosted our students in their work placements, providing safe, supportive and realistic work placements. The impact these placements have on our students is invaluable. Our thanks go out to all of them.

"At Caravanstuff4u, we strongly believe in giving young people opportunities to grow and develop their skills within a working environment. Over the last few years Caravanstuff4u and the Bridge Sixth Form have established a strong partnership with the Bridge teaching them working practices and life long lessons, and Caravanstuff4u giving them the platform to apply these skills in a work environment. The students have all been polite, kind and extremely eager to work alongside us and develop their skills, which has been a real pleasure to watch them learn and grow."

"Partnering with The Bridge on their work experience programme is a rewarding experience. We watch students grow in confidence, independence, and capability during their time with us. The support from staff is excellent, making the partnership seamless and valuable for everyone involved. We trust it provides inspiration for students to succeed in the workplace in the longer term."

“Our work experience student has been a valuable addition to the testing department, approaching tasks with enthusiasm and a genuine willingness to learn. They have been testing SuperNova (screen magnifier and screen reader with speech and braille support), GuideConnect (helping people with sight loss stay independent and connected), and EasyReader (accessible reading for vision impairments and neurodiversities such as dyslexia).
Their feedback has been thoughtful and is already having a meaningful impact on the quality of our software. We are delighted with their commitment and look forward to continuing their placement.”
